Haze
[Haze]
Even materials which do not absorb light may scatter light internally, thus becoming opaque. The degree of this dynamic light scattering is a substance is referred to as haze. The larger the haze value, the cloudier the material.
The total light transmittance (TT) value of a material includes both parallel transmittance (PT) and diffuse transmittance (DT).
Haze is represented as the ratio of diffuse transmittance to total light transmittance. The measurement methods are standardized in ISO 14782-1 and JIS K 7136 Haze is calculated with the following formula.
Haze = (DF / TT ) ×100[%]
